How long will it take to recover?

After treatment, patients wear a special compression garment for 7 to 14 days to help minimize bruising and swelling.

Will the fat go somewhere else?

However, some body fat is necessary for the sake of your health. Any remaining fatty tissue that remains after your treatment will still expand if you gain weight.

Pre and Post care:
Before you start your treatment:
- Blood thinners like Aspirin, Brufen should be avoided for 10 days
- You can eat normal diet and drink non alcoholic beverages as the procedure is performed under local anaesthesia
- Make your doctor aware about your medical condition or if you are taking any new medications.
- Post procedure fluid leakage may stain your clothes so wear clothes for your journey home which can be discarded if necessary.
After your treatment:
- You will have to wear pressure garment for a few weeks.
- You are advised not to fly within 24 hours.
- Long haul flights should be avoided for 7days.
- Our surgeons usually recommend a short course of antibiotic.
- Mild to moderate pain can be treated with analgesics.
- We recommend a course of massages, ideally 10 spaced about 2 days apart starting 2 days after your procedure.
- You should start walking as soon as possible to reduce swelling.
- You should be back to work within a few days.
- If swelling does not subside after 2 days and redness increases that might indicate infection then immediately get in touch with our doctors.
